JUXTAPOSITION

Juxtaposition: The arrangement of two or more ideas, characters, actions, setting or in similar narrative moments for the purpose of comparison.

In literature and film, juxtaposition is the arrangement of two opposing ideas, characters, objects and much more. Adapt from the movie Lost, often uses juxtaposition to further develop the storyline or characters - it is applied variously to opposing emotions, abstract concepts, character values or images.


There are two types of juxtaposition.

1. Juxtaposition literary
2. Random Juxtaposition


Juxtaposition Literary : Synonymous with contrast, two objects or text that oppose one and another.

Random Juxtaposition : Two random objects move in parallel, a technique intended to stimulate creativity.
